Turkey Bowl ends in a 0-0 Squabble

Memphis,Tennessee-The score is misleading to a fault. The Memphis Blast physically dominated the Jackson Stampede of Jackson,Tennessee both offensively and defensively.

The Blast defense played outstanding and did not allow the Stampede to cross the 50 yard-line all game long allowing only 3 first downs and sacking the Quarterback 8 times!

Offensively the Blast scored twice. But both touchdowns where called back due to questionable penalties. The Memphis Blast had plenty of opportunities to score but failed to capitalize due to several unforced turnovers and penalties.

“These where mental errors do to having our young players adjust to the speed of the game. But we make no excuses and will get better offensively”,stated Offensive Coordinator George Douglass.
But even though the game ended in a tie. The real winners were those who are in need, the Memphis Blast organization collected a good amount of food and will get a chance to help feed those in need.

“We are thankful to be able to make an impact in our community and look forward to helping those who are struggling this holiday season,”said GDFL President,Charles Thompson.
